Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô: Green from the first stone
Posted on by ZannierHotels
The construction story of Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô is purely audacious. Nearly 800 employees were working at the same time on the field all for the same goal: completing the construction on time and all in limiting the construction impact.

The extraordinary mission statement of the construction
It all began in 2014 which is the moment when Arnaud Zannier decided to purchase the land and started to conceive this project, and between the first talk to the construction 6 years passed.
The landscaping Interscene 3.0 team with the architect team Archetype Vietnam worked for hand in hand with Zannier Hotels Interiors which allowed Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô’s very special construction to happen. In 18 months, the teams have met their challenges to enable the opening in time

12 March 2018: Contract signed with Mr. Binh Hoa, the contractor.

19 March 2018: When the first engine arrived on the site

June 2018: The first stone is set.

June 2019: When the roof has been first installed.

During the construction process:
- Remote working: The design team privileges to work online with minimal travel to avoid flying.

1stDecember 2020: Opening
Respecting nature through landscaping
Successful bet! Even if the objective of respecting the surrounding in their entirety has been greatly achieved. Since 97% of the whole site is covered by protected vegetation into which we planted and restored 2 hectares of plant life on site.
The places where the constructions were planned to be located were perfectly limited to avoid distorting touch the surrounding natural environment and landscapes.

The temporary “Nursery” is another aspect making this property very special as Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô was the first establishment to set up a unique project - creating a temporary 'nursery' into which endemic vegetation such as 30,000 shrubs and grasses with over 1,000 trees and palm trees were grown and replanted on site. This one aimed to supply the project regarding endemic vegetation.

Sustainable & Local construction
Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô is designed sustainably to integrate into the existing landscape, during construction both fauna and flora have been preserved with the landscape design remaining entirely native.
Each part of the hotel has been designed and drawn from traditions, to allow our guests to be rooted in cultural discovery, also to respect the environment in which we operate. Indeed, Traditional materials such as coconut leaves, bamboo, sedge, and rattan have been used, as they blend harmoniously with the surrounding nature. The interior decorations are adorned with Vietnamese silk and handmade furniture made of bamboo and reclaimed wood.

Villas are built on wooden stilts.

Bà Hai restaurant is also built on stilts and constructed using only grass, bamboo, and wood from the Central Highlands, with a distinctive blade-shaped roof covered with thatched leaves.
