Conversation with an Artist – Everyday 4pm

As part of the Village des Artisans, in collaboration with Zannier Île de Bendor, ORAÉ Gallery organizes intimate Artist Talks designed as true moments of exchange. These conversations offer guests the opportunity to meet the artists in person and engage in meaningful dialogue about their work. Sessions take place either inside the studio or just outside it, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the creative environment. Artists share their techniques, inspirations, and craftsmanship, offering a rare insight into their savoir-faire. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and interact freely, creating a genuine and open discussion. More than a talk, it is a real artistic encounter. Each session concludes with a small refreshment served in the village square, extending the conversation in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

Meet the Artists

Nysae

Based between Hyères and Paris, the duo combines stone and beeswax in a body of work where scent becomes sculpture. Their work absorbs and recreates the Provençal landscape: heat, scents, porosity, and organic memory. They compose sensitive architecture made of air, breath and traces, intimately connecting the visitor’s body to their environment.

Franc 1884

Franc 1884 develops a contemporary approach to fragrance, bridging nature, objects and gestures. Hand-woven, lavender becomes a simple yet precious object that slowly diffuses its scent of Provence, like a soft breath. An invitation to slow down and rediscover the beauty of essential simplicity.

Zeljana Vidovic

Croatian ceramicist Zeljana Vidovic explores the boundary between structure and collapse, control and abandonment. Through her material, the artist brings forth forms in a delicate balance, enveloped by a contained energy.  Her work evokes silent architecture and mineral or mental fragments marked by time. The surfaces, smooth or cracked, reveal a discreet vibration, echoing the breath of the open sea.
